Jürgen Schulz (born October 6, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Schulz, son of the former Union runner Günther Schulz (* 1923), came to Tasmania Berlin from Spandauer SV in 1971 , where the half-forward became a regular and scored 12 goals in 59 regional league games. He also played eight promotion games to the Bundesliga and won the Berlin Cup with the club in 1971 and the Berlin runner-up in 1972 .

In the summer of 1973 Schulz switched to Tennis Borussia Berlin and played 67 games (6 goals) in the Bundesliga and 177 games (10 goals) in the 2nd division north for the Berlin team; thus he is the record player of the purple-whites in the highest German football league. It is particularly noteworthy that from 1974 to 1981, when Tennis Borussia did not qualify for the newly founded single-track 2nd division, "Schulle" was in the professional squad of the "Veilchen". In 1983 he succeeded in surprising promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with SC Charlottenburg , during the 1983/84 season Schulz played 36 games for the second division, but could not prevent the immediate relegation. In 1986 he returned to Tennis Borussia Berlin.

From July 1988 to June 1989 he trained Tennis Borussia in the third-class Oberliga Berlin .
