Jürgen Wielert (born July 5, 1960 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Wielert already played in the youth of DSC Wanne-Eickel before moving up to the first men's team. After he had played two games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1979/80 season in the northern relay, the DSC decided to voluntarily return the license received for the 1980/81 season and relegate to the Oberliga Westfalen. Thus Wielert played third class and made it to the final of the German amateur championship in 1985 . In the final, the opponent was the amateur team from Werder Bremen. The Bremen team around the future German national player Dieter Eilts was too strong for Wielert and his teammates - Werder won the final 3-0. So he won the runner-up and the Bundesliga club VfL Bochum noticed him. For the next season, the Bochum team secured Wielert's services. In his first season in the Bundesliga team, he played 15 games and scored one goal and thus contributed to reaching ninth place in the final table. In the following season he only made three appearances - Bochum was eleventh. Wiegert moved to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga . In Oberhausen he was a regular player and played 35 games. In terms of sport, the league could be secured, but RWO received no license from the DFB for the following season. Wielert was relegated from the second division for the second time. With that he said goodbye to Oberhausen and returned to his youth club DSC Wanne-Eickel. There he ended his career in 1992. Subsequently, he worked as a coach in amateur football, among other things.
