Jānis Paipals (born September 28, 1983 in Gulbene , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian cross-country skier .
Career
Since 2008, Paipals has mainly competed in the Scandinavian Cup . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , he finished 67th in the sprint. His best finish at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver was the 62nd place in the Sprint. In January 2014 he ran his first World Cup race in Nove Mesto , which he finished in 75th place. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 71st place in the sprint. In February 2015, he took 81st place in the sprint at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun .
