Jaïr Tjon En Fa (born October 19, 1993 in Paramaribo ) is a Surinamese cyclist who is active on track and road .
Athletic career
Jaïr Tjon En Fa started cycling in 2007. The following year he was two-time Surinamese junior champion, in road racing and in the individual time trial . In 2009 he won the title of Surinamese road champion in the elite class; in the individual time trial, he finished fourth. At the Inter-Guiana Games he won the team time trial and the junior road race together with Moses Rickets , Murvin Arumjo and Nigel Sloot .
2011 was Tjon En Fa Florida -Master in the Keirin . In 2012 he started in a sprint tournament in Omnisport in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, and came in second behind the German Sebastian Döhrer with a top-class international team . In the same month he won the Grand Prix Jan Derksen in Amsterdam , ahead of the Dutch Hylke van Grieken and Rigard van Klooster , after setting the fastest time in the qualification over 200 meters. In 2014 he won the bronze medal in the sprint at the Central American and Caribbean Games and in 2016 the silver medal at the Pan-American championships.
Tjon En Far lived and trained first in Apeldoorn and later in the United States . He turned down an offer to take Dutch citizenship.
