The Jabalón ( Spanish: Río Jabalón ) is a left (southern) tributary of the Guadiana that flows through the province of Ciudad Real ( autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha ) in Spain . It has a length of about 161 km and a catchment area of about 1557 km².

Its source is near the town of Montiel . About eight kilometers southeast of the city of Valdepeñas , the Jabalón is dammed up by the La Cabezuela dam to form a reservoir (Spanish: Embalse de La Cabezuela ). About four kilometers southwest of the village of Granátula de Calatrava , it is dammed up by the La Vega del Jabalón dam to form a reservoir (Spanish: Embalse de La Vega del Jabalón ).

The Jabalón flows into the Guadiana about three kilometers north of the village of Corral de Calatrava .
