Jack Couffer
Jack Couffer (born December 7, 1924 in Upland , California ) is an American cameraman , screenwriter and director who is known for his involvement in animal films.
Life
Couffer began his work in the film business as an additional cameraman in the 1950s, where he a. a. was involved in The Desert Lives . In 1956 he wrote his first screenplay for Running Target . From the same year he also worked as an independent cameraman.
In 1961 he made his debut as a director with the film Nikki, Hero of the North .
Couffer was nominated for an Oscar in 1974 for his camera work on Die Möwe Jonathan .
In 1992 he wrote the book Bat bomb: World War II's other secret weapon on the subject of bat bombs
