John Edward Powell "Jack" Dunn (born March 28, 1917 in Royal Tunbridge Wells , England , † July 16, 1938 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , USA ) was a British figure skater who started in a single run .

He was runner-up behind Karl Schäfer at the World Championships in Budapest in 1935 . At the Olympic Games in 1936 , he reached sixth place.

Dunn was a close friend and lover of Sonja Henie . After the Olympic Games in 1936, he accompanied Henie to the USA and for the next two years became her ice skating partner on her show, with which she toured the USA. The relationship ended when Henie began an affair with Tyrone Power . Shortly thereafter, Jack Dunn died of complications from tularemia , which he contracted when he came into contact with an infected rabbit while hunting in Texas .
