Jack Lacey
Jack Lacey (born 1911 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania , † May 25, 1965 in New York City ) was an American jazz trombonist .
Lacey played with Oliver Naylor's orchestra in Philadelphia in the late 1920s . He then worked as a freelancer in New York and for a while in the band of Talmadge Henry and Joe Reichmann in the Arcadia Ballroom in New York. In the summer of 1934 he played for Benny Goodman . He then worked as a studio musician until the 1960s , apart from the period of World War II, when he played in a military band. Also played in Merle Evans' band in the 1960s .
