Jackie Kong
Jackie Kong (born June 14, 1954 in Merced , California ) is an American screenwriter , film producer and film director .
Life
Jackie Kong grew up as the daughter of Chinese immigrants in California. In 1983 she made the B movie The Being . The horror film was followed by Police Patrol - the chaotic patrol from the night district with Linda Blair , a Police Academy rip-off.
Together with friends, she founded the production company PMS-Filmworks. The first projects Blood Diner and Night Academy were created at the same time for Vestron Video . Although Blood Diner was relatively successful, these remained the only films the company made to bankrupt shortly afterwards.
In 2001 Kong tried a comeback with the series Karaoke Nights , but it flopped.
