Heinrich Anton Jacob Herschel (born November 21 or 17, 1734 in Hanover ; † 1792 ) was a Hanoverian concert music master.

Jacob was the second of ten children from Anna Ilse, geb. Moritzen, (* 1712/13 in Neustadt / Rbg .; ⚭ 1732; † November 19, 1789) and Isaac Herschel (* January 14, 1707 in Hohenziaz, Magdeburg). Jacob sailed to England with his father's orchestra in March 1756 and returned at the end of the year. As a result of the Battle of Hastenbeck in July 1757, he went into hiding, met his brother Wilhelm in Hamburg and accompanied him back to England. In 1779, after peace had returned to his homeland in Hanover, he returned and found a post at the court orchestra. After the death of his father, Jacob became the head of the family. At the end of or on June 23, 1792, as Vice Concertmaster, he was found strangled in the field.

Wilhelm and Caroline Herschel were his siblings. His brothers Johann Alexander (1745–1821) and Dietrich (1755–1827) were also court musicians as violinists.
