Jacob Israel Neubeck
Jacob Israel Neubeck (born December 27, 1565 Basel , † January 19, 1594 ibid) was a Swiss carpenter .
Life
Jacob Israel was a son of the table maker Vital Neubeck († 1593), who immigrated from Strasswalchen . As early as 1590, a year before he was accepted into the spinning weather guild , he made the coffered ceiling in the hall of the Spiesshof . In 1593 he created the door court in the Zunfthaus zu Spinnwettern (today in the Basel Historical Museum ), which was credited to him as a masterpiece, the first by a carpenter in Basel.
