Jacob Reinecke
Jacob Reinecke (Latinized Jacobus Reneccius ; * 1572 in Salzwedel , Electorate of Brandenburg ; † June 28, 1613 ) was a Lutheran theologian , provost in Kölln and chief pastor in Hamburg .
Life
In 1598 Reinecke enrolled at the University of Wittenberg , where he received his master's degree in the same year . Afterwards he was rector at the St. Stephan School in Tangermünde and in 1600 a deacon at the church there.
In 1601 Reinecke was appointed pastor at the Petrikirche in Kölln (near Berlin), where he was appointed provost and consistorial councilor in 1608 . In 1609 he went to Hamburg to the St. Katharinen Church as main pastor . In 1612, Reinecke also became an inspector and professor of theology at the local academic high school .
