Jacob Wilson
Jacob Wilson (born March 17, 1990 in Crawfordsville , Indiana ) is an American racing driver .
Career
Wilson began his motorsport career in karting at the age of six and remained active in the sport until 2006. In 2008 he switched to USAC racing series . He won a USAC Sprint Car Series race and 22nd in the championship. He also competed in the USAC Silver Crown Series and finished the season on 18th. 2009 Wilson stayed in both racing series. He finished 16th overall in the USAC Silver Crown Series and was in 21st place in the USAC Sprint Car Series. In 2010 he again took part in races of this series.
After Wilson was active in individual races of the USAC Silver Crown Series and the USAC National Midget Series in 2011 , he made his formula racing debut in the Indy Lights . He took part in two race weekends for Belardi Auto Racing . In his first race he qualified for third starting position. In the race, he lost control of his car on the first lap and spun. Since not all drivers were able to evade, several cars drove into each other. A total of five pilots were eliminated in this accident. All drivers were uninjured. In his second race he crossed the finish line in fifth place and at the end of the season was 22nd in the drivers' standings.
