Jacopo da Volterra
Jacopo da Volterra (real family name Gherardi; born July 25, 1434 in Volterra , † September 1516 in Rome ) was an Italian humanist .
In 1458 he went to Rome, where he was secretary to Cardinal Jacopo Ammannati Piccolomini in 1463 until his death in 1479.
On December 17, 1513 Gherardi became Bishop of Aquino . His main work is the Diarium Romanum , which covers the years 1479 to 1484 .
