Jacqueline Sassard (born March 13, 1940 in Nice ) is a French actress .

Life

The daughter of a colonial officer grew up in Duala in Cameroon . She was discovered for film in her hometown of Nice at the age of 15. Just one year later in Gwendalina with director Alberto Lattuada she received the title role of a young girl who suffers from her parents.

After that it was used especially in Italian productions. Mostly she played young women with love problems in contemporary subjects, in the historical film Kadmos - Tyrann von Theben she was the daughter of the title hero, and in the German music film Freddy and the Song of the South Seas she embodied a Tahitian, with whom the leading actor Freddy Quinn falls in love.

With her last two roles in the films Accident - Incident in Oxford and Two Friends , Sassard received some praise for her acting, but she withdrew from the public at the age of 27. She lived in Brazil for several years, now in the Alpes-Maritimes department. She was married to Gianni Lancia until his death in 2014 .
