Jacqueline Todten

Jacqueline Todten , divorced Hein (born May 29, 1954 in Berlin ), is a former German athlete who - starting for the GDR - was one of the world's best javelin throwers in the 1970s . Her greatest success is the silver medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich - as an 18-year-old behind her teammate, world record holder Ruth Fuchs . Only once in her career, at the GDR championships in 1974, did she manage to beat Ruth Fuchs.

Jacqueline Todten started for SC Dynamo Berlin and trained with Hans Beer . In her active time she was 1.71 m tall and weighed 62 kg. After her sports career, she studied pedagogy and worked during the GDR period in the Berlin district of Pankow in the reintegration of released offenders.

In 1972 she received the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
