Jacques Chamorel
Jacques Chamorel (born May 26, 1901 in Ollon , † December 8, 1962 in Lausanne ) was a Swiss lawyer and politician ( LPS ).
Chamorel studied law at the Universities of Lausanne, Paris and Vienna, and received his doctorate from the University of Lausanne in 1925. From 1928 he was a lawyer in Lausanne.
From 1929 to 1945 he was a municipal councilor ( legislature ) in Lausanne, from 1933–1945 and 1949–1957 a member of the Vaudois Grand Council , 1955 President of the Grand Council. From 1956 to 1960 Chamorel was president of the Liberal Party of Switzerland. In the years 1957–1962 he was a member of the National Council.
Jacques Chamorel was a colonel in the General Staff of the Swiss Army .
