Jacques Dewatre

Jacques Dewatre (born June 5, 1936 in Limoges ) is a French officer and diplomat .

Life

After working at the Ministry of Cooperation and Development, he was Prefect in Guiana and between 1991 and 1992 on Reunion Island and 1992-1993 in Yvelines .
From June 4, 1993 to February 14, 2000 he was head of the DGSE , then ambassador to Ethiopia . On April 26, 2000 he was awarded the Grand Officer's Cross of the Legion of Honor.
