Jacques Guy Ladègaillerie (born January 10, 1940 in Sartrouville ) is a former French sword fencer .
Career
Jacques Ladègaillerie took part in three Olympic Games . In 1968 he finished ninth in the singles in Mexico City , with the team he was seventh. At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , he moved into the individual finals, which he finished behind Csaba Fenyvesi in silver. With the team, meanwhile, he just missed winning a medal. After a semi-final defeat against Switzerland, the French team lost to the Soviet Union in the battle for bronze and came fourth. In 1976 Ladègaillerie retired in the first round of the individual. In the team competition he was ninth.
