Jacques Plein (born February 17, 1987 ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player .

Career

Plein comes from the junior work of AS Hosingen and the Luxembourg first division club Etzella Ettelbrück . For the 2004/05 season he was brought into the squad of the first team and came in his first season to six games in the Luxembourg championship. In July 2011 he moved to FC Progrès Niederkorn and played there for three years. In 2014/15 he signed a contract with the Luxembourg second division club FC 72 Erpeldingen. He played the second half of the 2015/16 season on loan at FC Mamer 32 and switched to league rivals in the summer of 2016. There he ended his active career in 2018.

National team

From 2002 to 2008 he played a total of 18 games for various youth national teams in Luxembourg.

In 2009 he was nominated for the first time for the senior national team and made his debut on March 28 in the 4-0 defeat against Latvia . He played the number two international match against France on March 25, 2011 , when Luxembourg lost 2-0 and Plein came on in the 90th minute.
