Jadwiga Wajs
Jadwiga Wajs-Marcinkiewicz (born January 30, 1912 - February 1, 1990 ) was a Polish athlete .
In her favorite discipline, discus , she held the world record almost consistently from 1932 to 1935. Her greatest world record distance was 44.60 meters. However, all of their world records were unofficial.

- Olympic Games 1932 3rd with 38.74
- 4th World Women's Games (London) world record at 143 ft. 8¼ inches
- Olympic Games 1936 2nd with 46.22
- European Championship 1946 3rd with 39.37
- Olympic Games 1948 4th with 39.30
At the European Championships in 1946, she also finished fourth in the shot put with 11.65 .
