Jegal Sung-yeol (born March 24, 1970 in Uijeongbu , Gyeonggi-do ) is a former South Korean speed skater .
Jegal Sung-yeol started at the 1992 Winter Olympics and finished twelfth over the 500-meter course. He also started at the Olympics in 1994 and 1998 . At the speed skating single-distance world championships in Hamar in 1996 , he won the bronze medal over 1000 m. At the Asian Championships he won the gold medal over 500 m in 1996 and the silver medal over the same distance in 1999.
