The hunting umbrella on the core clearing is a structure in Darmstadt-Kranichstein .
History and description
The hunting umbrella is located at the western end of the Hengstriedwiese , north of the corridor . The hunting shelter , dating back to the 18th century , was built from blocks . The wall is about 2 meters high and about 0.5 meters thick. There are four loopholes in the wall.
The hunting umbrella is similar to those on Charlottenplatz and Landgrafeneck ; near the Dianaburg . By loopholes hunters on running past could boar shoot; without being attacked yourself.
