History and description
The hunting umbrella on Landgrafeneck , from the 18th century , is located on the northeast corner of the Gschwendwiese . The Landgrafeneck was named after the Landgraves of Hessen-Darmstadt . The hunting umbrella resembles the jumps-like hunting shelters at Charlottenplatz and the corridor . By loopholes hunters on running past could boar shoot; without being attacked yourself.
Hunting shade is made of natural stone quadern bricked round and with earth side angeböscht . The wall is about 1.4 meters high and about 0.5 meters thick. The inside diameter is approx. 2.5 meters. There are five loopholes in the wall.
