Tichau hunting lodge
The Jagdschloss Tichau is a castle in Tychy (dt. Tichau ) in the Polish Upper Silesia .
It was built in 1685 for the Promnitz family in the former Principality of Pless . From 1769 to 1775 Friedrich Erdmann von Anhalt-Köthen-Pleß expanded it into a two-winged baroque palace . Since the Promnitz hunting lodge was built in 1861 , the Tichau hunting lodge only served the function of the palace and served as the seat of the forestry office . In the 19th century the castle garden ( brewery garden ) became a recreation area. In 2009 the hunting lodge was sold to a private company and is currently being renovated . In the future it will serve as a conference hotel.
