Jaime Alberto Castañeda Ortega (born October 29, 1986 in Chigorodó , Antioquia ) is a Colombian racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Jaime Castañeda was in 2003 on the track in the junior class Colombian champion in Madison and in scratch . In 2006 he won the U23 road race of the national championship.

He then received a contract for the Italian ProTeam Lampre-Fondital from July 2006 and drove for this team until the end of the 2008 season without achieving any top positions. He then drove for smaller Colombian teams. He subsequently won several races on the UCI America Tour , including the 2010 general classification of the Volta Ciclística Internacional de Gravataí .
