José Jaime Ordiales Domínguez (born December 23, 1962 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican football player who mostly played in midfield . After his active career, he was temporarily employed as a trainer and has been sports director at Club América since 2008 .

Life

Ordiales began his football career with the clubs Barcelona and Asturiano in the Liga Española de Fútbol , the most important amateur football league in the metropolitan area of ​​Mexico City.

He received his first professional contract in 1982 with Club Necaxa , for which he played until 1985. In his twenty-year professional career he was under contract with a total of ten clubs and only for Club León he played in two stages. With the Tecos de la UAG (1993/94) and the Diablos Rojos de Toluca (Verano 1998) he won a championship title each .

National team

Ordiales made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team on November 20, 1991 in a game against Uruguay, which ended 1-1. He scored his only two international goals on May 9, 1998 in a 6-0 win against Estonia.

The highlight of his international career was his participation in the 1998 World Cup , where he played in the preliminary rounds against South Korea (3: 1) and Belgium (2: 2). The encounter against the Belgians was also his last international appearance.

Trainer and Sports Director

Before the 2007/08 season Ordiales was signed as coach of the Tecos de la UAG, but in early March 2008 due to unsatisfactory results dismissed early and replaced by José Luis Trejo . A few months later, he received the post of sports director at Club América .
