Jaime Torres
Jaime Torres (born September 21, 1938 in San Miguel de Tucumán , † December 24, 2018 ) was an Argentine musician; he played charango . He was a student of Mauro Núñez , a Bolivian musician and instrument maker who built his first musical instruments.
Life
In 1964 he took part in the recording of Misa Criolla with Ariel Ramírez . In 1965 he carried out his first European tour.
In 1974 he took part in the opening show of the soccer world championship in the Federal Republic of Germany . A year later he organized a local meeting of instrumentalists and in 1980 such a meeting with children. In 1988 he composed the music for the film La deuda interna, which received an Oscar nomination.
