Jakob Brandstätter

Jakob Brandstätter (born December 16, 1928 in Küb am Semmering , today Payerbach municipality , Lower Austria , † February 25, 1987 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 1967 to 1987 he was a member of the National Council .

education and profession

After attending primary and secondary school, Brandstätter worked on his parents' farm . He took over this in 1951 at the age of 22. Since 1981 he has held the title of Economics Council .

Political offices

Jakob Brandstätter was initially involved in the local farmers' council, later he was promoted to chairman of the Gloggnitz district chamber of farmers . Brandstätter joined the ÖVP and was temporarily district chairman of the party and of the Lower Austrian farmers' union in the Neunkirchen district . He was also the head of the ÖVP in his home town of Payerbach and was temporarily active as the second vice mayor.

From December 1967 until his death in 1987 Brandstätter was a member of the Austrian National Council .
