Jakob Briede
Jakob Briede (* around 1642 in Gudensberg ; † May 14, 1686 in Kassel ) was mayor of Kassel.
Briede was the son of Gudensberger Amtsschultheißen Eckhard Briede (around 1598–1675 / 8) and his wife Elisabeth Grau (around 1612–1690). Briede married on January 29, 1672 in Kassel Katharina Elisabeth Haxthausen (1651–1726), the daughter of the mayor Heinrich Haxthausen . From 1658 he studied law in Marburg and graduated with a licentiate in law. Then he was a lawyer in Kassel and mayor there from 1684 to 1685. He was actually supposed to be councilor and legal advisor in Schmalkalden afterwards , but died before he could take office.
