Club career
Career start in St. Lucia
Jevick McFarlane was born on August 7, 1996 in the Vieux Fort community in the Quarter of the same name on St. Lucia. In his youth he played soccer for Green Lake FC , where his brother Dain McFarlane was active for several years. Around 2016 he appeared for the Vieux-Fort South national team in the U-21 national division. It is not known exactly when McFarlane switched to men's football.
In any case, he played in 2017 for the then Lucian second division club Uptown Rebels SC and rose to the top Lucian football league with them at the end of the game year . In the first game of the 2018 game he scored a goal in a 3-0 away win over the RV Juniors . In the fifth championship round he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 win over the Northern United All Stars . After only seven completed championship games, McFarlane ranked fourth in the table with the Uptown Rebels. Together with Antonio Joseph , who had also scored two goals, he was the most dangerous player on his team. The other two goalscorers - the Uptown Rebels ended up with a hit balance of 6-3 - were Sarn Savory and Adrian Henry .
In the Lucian first class, which was expanded by two teams in the 2019 game year , McFarlane continued to appear for the Uptown Rebels and during this time also competed against his brother Dain, who was now playing with the promoted El Niños . Equal on points with the first-placed Platinum FC , but with a worse goal difference, the Uptown Rebels took second place in the final table; of the nine games played, not a single one was lost this year.
Change to Trinidad & Tobago
In the same year McFarlane moved to the TT Pro League , the highest football league in Trinidad and Tobago , to Morvant Caledonia United . Contact to the club was established through its owner Jamaal Shabazz ; Since this year he has also coached the Lucian national football team , to which McFarlane has been a member since 2018. At Morvant Caledonia United he appeared at the side of his compatriots Eden Charles , Melvin Doxilly , Antonio Joseph, Otev Lawrence and Tev Lawrence , among others , and stood out as a goalscorer. In the current 2019/20 season , McFarlane and his team are in the middle of the table.
National team career
At a young age, McFarlane made an appearance for the junior team in his home country. By Francis McDonald , he was in August and September 2018 for the qualification for the CONCACAF Nations League 2019/20 in the Lucian national football team appointed. He made his debut on September 8, 2018 in a 3-0 win over Antigua and Barbuda , when he came on in the 84th minute of the game for Malik St. Prix and in minute 90 after presentation by Andrus Remy the goal to make it 3-0 Final score scored. In the following game against Haiti , McFarlane was only used again in the following group game against the Cayman Islands . Here he played from the start and was only replaced by Ridel Stanislas in minute 85 . After that, McFarlane was not used again until March 2019. After missing a series of friendly matches that were played in late February and early March 2019, he played the fourth group game in the qualification for the CONCACAF Nations League at the end of the month. In the game against Aruba , McFarlane, who was used as a center forward, was used from the start, scored the goal to lead his home country 1-0 in the 38th minute and in the 62nd minute added to his home country's 2-1 lead. From the 64th minute he was then replaced by Cassius Joseph , his then teammate with the Uptown Rebels.
In the end, St. Lucia qualified for League B of the CONCACAF Nations League 2019/20 and appeared in Group B2 . Under Jamaal Shabazz , who took over the coaching post after successfully qualifying in May 2019, the offensive player was used in a friendly international match against Trinidad and Tobago in June 2019 . From September 2019, McFarlane represented St. Lucia in subsequent group matches of the CONCACAF Nations League. In these, however, he was only taken into account in the first two games against El Salvador and Montserrat , was not part of the extended squad in the third group game and was unused on the bench in games 4 and 5. In the last group game against the Montserrat national football team, when the departure of St. Lucia was already certain, McFarlane was used again from the start. With four points from six games, the Lucian national soccer team finished last in group B2 and was eliminated from the current tournament.
So far (as of March 24, 2020) no further appearances of the attacking player are known.
