The Saint Lucia Football Association First Division (short: SLFA First Division ) is the highest football league for men on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia . The year in which an overall championship was held on the island is not known, but there were so-called inter-district championships as early as the 1970s and 1980s , in which the champions of the respective districts were determined. Thus, the exact year the league was founded is also not known. In addition, final games were played against other district winners as early as the 1970s. In the 1990s, other national cup competitions, some with different names, appeared.

The league champion has the opportunity to take part in the CFU Club Championship and thereby qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League . Five times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2011) Lucian teams have now participated in the CFU Club Championship; none had so far qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League. Most of the teams dropped out of the competition very early; the exception is the Northern United All Stars , who won the CFU Club Championship 2005 after winning over Positive Vibes Victory from the American Virgin Islands in the first round and the Victory Boys from the Netherlands Antilles in the quarter-finals only in the semi-finals against SV Robinhood from Suriname lost with an overall result of 3: 7.

The record champions of St. Lucia are the Vempers Sports Athletic Dramatic Club , or VSADC for short , with nine championship titles, of which only four titles from 2001, 2002, 2011 and 2012 are secured, but the club also in 1982, 1984, 1985, 1988 and is said to have become Lucian master in 1998.

Previous masters

In 1982, 1984, 1985 and 1988 the VSADC is said to have become champions for the first four times.
