Jakob Hartmann
Jakob Hartmann (born May 16, 1876 in Wienacht ; † May 7, 1956 in Rehetobel ) was a chimney sweep and a Swiss folk poet . Under the pseudonym Chemifeger Bodemaa ("Kaminfeger Bodenmann") he acted as an author of books and short stories. With the play Appezeller Sennelebe he caused a sensation at the 1914 national exhibition in Bern. In 1938 he received the award from the Swiss Schiller Foundation . In his honor there are Hartmann memorial plaques in Wienacht and Heiden .
