Jakob Rosbach Larsen (born July 4, 1974 in Maniitsoq ) is a Greenlandic handball coach who played for the Greenland national team.

Career

Larsen played from 1994 for the Danish club Nyborg GIF Håndbold and four years later moved to the first division club GOG Gudme , with whom he participated in the European Cup in several seasons. For the 2000/01 season, the backcourt player moved to Otterup HK. During that season he was sold to a Spanish club from Zaragoza in February 2001. In the summer of the same year Larsen returned to Denmark and played for a second division club from Odense. After the Greenlander returned to GOG Gudme, he later joined the French club Saint-Raphaël Var Handball, in order to play again for GOG from 2006. With GOG he won a total of two Danish championships.

After GOG had to file for bankruptcy during the 2009/10 season, Larsen signed a contract with second division club Faaborg HK in February 2010. In addition, he coached third division Odense Håndbold in parallel. In 2011 Faaborg merged with Odense to form HC Fyn, where Larsen worked as a player-coach. From December 2011 he also coached the HC Odense women's team , which played in the highest Danish league. After Odense managed to stay in league in 2012, Larsen took over as coach of the men's team at GOG Håndbold . Under his leadership, GOG went first class in 2013. In March 2013 he took over HC Odense again for a short period after the previous coach Thomas Ørneborg was sacked. He has been coaching Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub since the 2017/18 season . Under his direction, Nykøbing Falster won the Danish Cup in 2018.

Larsen has appeared for the Greenland national team at least 87 times and is his country's record scorer with 506 goals. He took part in the finals of the 2001 , 2003 and 2007 World Cups with Greenland .
