Jakob Lob (born September 19, 1902 in Vienna ; † after 1948) was an Austrian civil servant and an assistant judge at the People's Court between 1939 and 1940 .

Life

Born and raised as the son of a private civil servant , Lob worked as a lawyer in 1921 and as an official of the Central Association of German Property Officials and Salaried Employees in Teplitz-Schönau from 1921 to 1922 and as an educator between 1922 and 1924. After completing his doctorate in law, he was a trainee lawyer from 1927 to 1929 and then a trainee judge . He successfully passed the judge exam in 1930.

Between 1929 and 1934 Lob was employed at the District Court of Zistersdorf (Lower Austria), then until 1939 at the Regional Court for Criminal Matters in Vienna , since 1934 he was a NSDAP party member with membership number 6,127,966. During the Nazi era, the Austrian was an assistant judge at the People's Court in Berlin in 1939 and then a pro forma higher regional judge at the higher regional court in Katowice (Silesia), but actually worked in the Wehrmacht .

After the end of the war, the People's Court in Vienna (later in Linz ) brought proceedings against Jakob Lob for his activities under the Nazi regime, which were discontinued in 1948. Lob was then employed at the District Court of Inner City Vienna .
