The judicial district Innere Stadt Wien is one of twelve judicial districts in Vienna and comprises the Viennese districts Innere Stadt , Landstrasse , Wieden , Margareten , Mariahilf and Simmering . Directly superior courts of second instance are - depending on the legal matter to be dealt with - the Regional Court for Civil Law Matters Vienna and the Regional Court for Criminal Matters Vienna .
After the annexation of Austria in 1939, the court was renamed the District Court of Vienna and was now subordinate to the District Court of Vienna. In 1945 it was renamed the District Court again.
