District Court Döbling

The judicial district Döbling is a judicial district in Vienna which is subordinate to the district court Döbling . The judicial district comprises the 18th district of Währing and the 19th district of Döbling .

history

The areas of today's municipal districts of Döbling and Währing were originally part of the judicial districts of Hernals and Klosterneuburg . In the course of the incorporation of numerous suburbs to Vienna, the organization of the courts was also reorganized on April 1, 1892. Währing and Döbling were subsequently combined into one judicial district, with the court agendas being transferred to the Währing district court, which was located in Währing at Gymnasiumstraße 38. As early as January 1, 1894, this regulation was changed again by creating a separate judicial district for the municipality of Döbling, so that Währing and Döbling existed separately. In the course of the dissolution of the judicial district of Währing , the area of the judicial district of Döbling was expanded to include the district of Währing in the 1920s.

After Austria's annexation in 1939, the court was renamed the Döbling District Court and was now subordinate to the Vienna Regional Court . In 1945 it was renamed the District Court again.
