history

The areas of today's district of Favoriten were originally part of the Viennese judicial districts Wieden and Margarethen and the Lower Austrian judicial districts Mödling and Schwechat .

After Austria's annexation in 1939, the court was renamed the Favoriten District Court and was now subordinate to the Vienna Regional Court . In 1945 it was renamed the District Court again.
