Jakob Philippi
Jakob Philippi (* before 1456 (first mentioned in Paris ), † after 1494 in Basel ) was a cleric and theologian .
Jakob Philippi came from Kirchhofen near Freiburg . He studied at the University of Paris , where he obtained his Magister Artium in 1457 . From 1462 he studied theology at the University of Basel . In 1465 he took part in drafting the statutes of the college founded in 1460. 1466–1468 he was chaplain of the natio anglicana in Paris. In Basel he became a priest at the Martinskirche in 1470 and at the Peterskirche in 1488 . 1491–1492 he worked as a people priest at the Basel Minster . Philippi also wrote various theological treatises .
