Jakob Pistotnig

Jakob Pistotnig (born July 21, 1945 in Sankt Veit an der Glan ; † July 24, 2001 in Kirchbach ) was an Austrian entrepreneur, forester and politician ( FPÖ ). Pistotnig was a member of the National Council between 1999 and 2001 .

education and profession

Pistotnig attended elementary and secondary school from 1952 to 1961 and the agricultural college from 1963 to 1964. Performed military service in 1964 and attended the prison guard school in 1964.

Pistotnig worked as an unskilled worker between 1965 and 1966 and was a prison guard between 1966 and 1967 . Pistotnig worked as a commercial clerk between 1968 and 1992 and started his own business in 1975 as an entrepreneur in the field of motor vehicles and agricultural engineering, trade and repair shops. From 1990 he was also a farmer and forester.

politics

Pistotnig began his political career in community politics. From 1989 to 2001 he was local party chairman of the FPÖ Liebenfels and between 1991 and 1999 Vice Mayor of the community. In 1990 Pistotnig was elected deputy district party chairman of the FPÖ St. Veit an der Glan, and from 1991 he was a member of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce . He carried out both functions until his death.

Pistotnig represented the FPÖ between 1994 and 1999 as a member of the Carinthian Landtag and from October 29, 1999 to July 24, 2001 in the National Council.

Private

Pistotnig was married and had a son and a daughter. He died in an accident at work.
