Jakob Schmidt (doctor)
Jakob Schmidt (born January 1, 1653 in Quedlinburg ; † January 5, 1705 ibid) was a German physician, city doctor in Quedlinburg and a member of the " Leopoldina " academy of scholars .
Jakob Schmidt received his doctorate in medicine in Jena in 1680. He became city doctor in Quedlinburg and was court doctor to the King of Prussia . On November 25, 1682 Jakob Schmidt with the nickname PODALIRIUS III. admitted as a member ( matriculation no. 110 ) to the Leopoldina .
