Jakob Schuh
Jakob Schuh (born March 26, 1976 in Munich ) is a German director . His best-known animated films are The Gruffalo , Street of the Specialists and Angels on Foot .
After studying at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , where he has been teaching since 2003, the Munich native founded Studio Soi with six fellow students .
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.

Awards
The Gruffalo (directed by Jakob Schuh and Max Lang) was awarded the Tricks for Kids Award for the best children's animated film at the Stuttgart Animated Film Festival in 2010 and was nominated for the BAFTA Award and in 2011 for the Oscar for best animated short film. In 2018 he was nominated again for an Oscar for his work on "Revolting Rhymes".
