Studio Soi GmbH & Co. KG Filmproduktion is a German film production company for animated films . It was founded in 2003 in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, by Carsten Bunte , Torben Meier , Klaus Morschheuser , Mathias Schreck , Jakob Schuh , Michael Sieber and Saschka Unseld . Carsten Bunte is the managing partner.
In 2008 , the short film Ernst, produced by Studio Soi, won the Golden Spatzen children's jury prize in autumn .
Studio Soi was involved in the production of the short film The Gruffalo , which was nominated for an Oscar 2011 in the category Best Animated Short Film and for the British Academy Film Award 2011 in the category Best Animated Short Film.
In 2009, Studio Soi produced The Little One and the Beast , which won the Crystal of the Festival d'Animation Annecy , the Prix Jeunesse , the Cartoon d'Or 2011 and the Emil children's feature film award given by the television magazine TV Spielfilm .
The films Angel on Foot and The Image of the Princess won the Prix pour un spécial TV of the Festival d'Animation Annecy in 2008 and 2011 respectively .
From 2011 on, Studio Soi was involved in the production of the award-winning cartoon series The Fantastic World of Gumball .
In 2011 Studio Soi was awarded the special Golden Spatz award for innovation for The Image of the Princess and The Gruffalo .
In 2019, the Trudes Tier series produced by Studio Soi won the “Children's Programs” jury prize of the Robert Geisendörfer Prize .
