action

A little princess paints a picture of a cow for which she is praised by the entire court , although nothing really can be seen in the picture. Only the gardener does not want to praise the picture, but says that he does not know whether the picture is beautiful. The princess then has him locked in the castle dungeon. There she shows him a second picture she has painted and asks if he likes it. The gardener doesn't answer the question. Instead, he asks the princess if she thinks the picture is good and advises her to take a close look at the cows that live behind the castle .

The next morning the princess starts again to paint a picture of a cow, this time using a real cow as a model behind the castle. She has a lot of fun doing it, finally releases the gardener and says goodbye to him with the words: “See you”, to which the blind gardener replies “Maybe not that” and feels the way back into the garden with a stick.
