Johannes Weiland
Johannes Weiland (* 1977 in Freiburg im Breisgau ), also known as Jolle Weiland , is a German animator and animation director.
Life
In 2003 he completed his animation studies at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . He is best known for the short films Hessi James (in collaboration with Badesalz ), Annie & Boo and Oli's chance , co-directed with Saschka Unseld. The latter received the Tricks for Kids Award at the Stuttgart Film Festival 2006. The 6-minute short film Der Kleine und das Best , which won the Crystal of the Festival d'Animation Annecy , the Prix Jeunesse and the Cartoon d'Or 2011, was co-directed with Uwe Heidschötter .
He worked for various animation studios such as Parasol Island, Studio Filmbilder , Studio aka in London and Studio Soi . Johannes Weiland teaches animation at the German Film School, the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and Truemax in Denmark.
