Jakob Schwibach

Jakob Schwibach ( February 20, 1930 , † January 28, 2005 ) was a German chemist and civil servant .

Career

Schwibach studied chemistry and received his doctorate in 1961 at the Natural Science Faculty of the University of Munich . During his studies he had also attended lectures on radiation protection.

He was initially entrusted with the nuclear energy sector at the Federal Ministry for Scientific Research , and later headed the Institute for Radiation Hygiene at the Federal Health Office in Munich- Neuherberg . From its establishment in October 1974 to October 1980 he was a member of the Radiation Protection Commission .
