Jacob Tholund
Jakob Tholund (born August 29, 1928 in Goting ) is a German high school teacher and writer in North Frisia .
Life
Tholund was born as the son of a teacher on the island of Föhr . He studied philosophy, theology, literary studies and history in Kiel and Freiburg. He then taught at high schools in Wyk auf Föhr , Flensburg and St. Peter-Ording . He returned to Wyk in 1964 and headed the Insel Föhr grammar school from 1965 until he retired in 1990.
Jakob Tholund is the author of numerous works, for example on his home island Föhr , and volunteered in many positions in the Frisian movement. Tholund speaks Fering .
He was married to Renate Tholund until her death in 2013.
