Jakob Wolff (also Jacob Wolff , born December 30, 1642 in Naumburg , † July 17, 1694 in Jena ) was a German physician and professor of medicine at the University of Jena .

Life

Jakob Wolff was the son of the pharmacist Jacob Wolff (1603–1667) and studied medicine at the universities in Leipzig and Jena. He then became a city ​​doctor in Altenburg . He later worked as a professor of medicine at the University of Jena.

On March 4, 1679, Jakob Wolff was registered under the registration number. 86 with the academic surname Socrates I accepted as a member of the Leopoldina .

The pharmacist Justin Wolff (1640–1683) was his brother.
