Jakob Ziegler (politician)

Jakob Ziegler (born June 29, 1894 in Weyher in the Palatinate ; † December 7, 1974 there ) was a German winery owner and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Ziegler was born the son of a farmer and winery owner. After graduating from high school, he studied physics and mathematics. After the First World War he took over his parents' farm and then worked as a winery owner and wine merchant in Weyher .

Political party

Ziegler joined the CDP after 1945 , which later became the state association of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate . From 1946 to 1951 he was chairman of the CDU district association of the Palatinate .

MP

Ziegler was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1946/47 and was then a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament until 1951 . In 1950/51 he served as Vice President of the State Parliament.

Public offices

In 1945, Ziegler was appointed mayor of the Weyher community by the Allied military administration.
