Jalpaiguri ( Bengali জলপাইগুড়ি Jalapāiguṛi ) is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal .
Jalpaiguri is the capital of the district of the same name . It is located on the right bank of the Tista river . The national highway NH 31D runs through the city.
In the 2011 census, the population was 107,341.
